Introduction

The months of July-August are crucial in the sense that the current times indicate significant changes in the offing. This year has witnessed some significant shifts in our thinking, considering the challenges we are confronted with. The collective consciousness is quite aware of the changes that are taking place. With the rare solar eclipse witnessed on June 21, 2020, we are acutely conscious that there may be major and dramatic shifts in the paradigm of our existence.

Planetary Influences: July-August

This year, we are acutely aware of the challenges facing humanity and with events taking place that question our very role in them. There is an overall realization that the time has come for a global purification process of our collective deeds.

As the outer planets of Jupiter and Saturn move closer to the zodiac Aquarius, we all feel the need for good things for everyone as well as justice. Somehow, there is the feeling of doing something out of the ordinary. There is a lot of discordant energies around us, and we are being weighed down heavily to get things in the right perspective while making decisions. This is because the outer planets – Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto are at later degrees of Capricorn. Therefore, all need to find that peace and balance within themselves to make the right choices.
Over the past 500 years that it has taken for Saturn and Pluto to come in conjunction with Capricorn, a lot has happened. There has been a rampant misuse of power, and widespread corruption and greed by countries and governments and the current planetary energies are allowing us to see these behavioral tendencies for what they are. Inequality was never more unchecked.

Pluto will take us to the truth. Saturn will make us realize the reality and make us wary of duplicity. Saturn will come into Aquarius ultimately, and January 2021 will herald major shifts for people, cultures, communities, and religions.

Planetary Highlights: July-August

The current times indicate that we, as humans, are facing the moment of truth and that we must work hard to stave
off old negative energies and patterns to step into the future. We can with resolve and patience, develop insights about our inner selves, and build power from within. The astroved planetary positions do help us to rise and be in sync with the highest vibration.

What is a T-square?

A geometric formation in a horoscope made of 2 or more planets in opposition that are squared by one or more planets. This aspect signifies tension, and if a person has it in their natal chart, they must resolve the tension in these areas of their life. T-squares have oppositional and square energies to work through.
In July and August, we will experience T-squares that compel us to focus on a problem and resolve it. One has to stay focused and resolve obstacles as the current period indicates.

What is a YOD?

A YOD is a mystical symbol of a problem in one’ s life and comprises of two planets that are 60 degrees apart (sextile) from each other, and an apex planet that is in opposition to the mid-point of the other two planets.
A YOD is all about a spiritual commitment that pushes for adjustments to do the right thing. They are about mandatory lessons to be learned in life.

Uranus: Vehicle of Change

The month of July sees planet Uranus as a favorable astrological aspect in a harmonious flow with the Full Moon that can set off possible explosions and ignite energies. Down the month, Uranus is in sextile with Mercury and can initiate creative thinking.

Uranus appears to go backwards in the sky in mid-August. Around August 15, Uranus goes retrograde for little less than half of the year, approximately five months. Uranus spends approximately forty percent of its time in retrograde. Delays may be anticipated. In August, Uranus sets off a T-square with the Sun and Moon for a short period. In the latter part of August, Uranus is in harmony with Venus and Jupiter that can be a financially smooth period for all.

Jupiter and Pluto were in exact conjunction that could have led to mood swings but also may have brought communities and governments together in harmony and agreement.

July 12 – It was the First Quarter Moon when everything most likely went forward in this lunar cycle. Mercury went direct after a retrograde phase. There were likely opportunities for commerce and trade to move forward.
Lunar Apogee- The orbit of the Moon around the Earth is concise. The point of the orbit farthest from the Earth is called the apogee. It is similar to a waning phase of the Moon. This period causes a sense of anxiety for people to get things done in a limited time. It is essential to stay focused.

July 20 – New Moon – This is a time for debate and discussions, finding answers to questions with the energies of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in dissent with the New Moon. However, Neptune is in harmony with the Moon and Sun and thus finds common ground.
