Pearl Jam is a rock band formed in Seattle, WA in 1990. They released their debut album titled “Ten” in 1991. The album was 13 times platinum. It reached an impressive sale of 33 million records in the US. UU. And 60 million worldwide.

The band’s original line-up was Stone Gossard (guitar), Jeff Ament (bass), Mike McCready (guitar), Eddie Vedder (guitar and vocals) and Dave Krusen (drums). Krusen left after the release of the first Ten album. He was replaced by Dave Abruzzese. A year later, Jack Irons came in to replace Abruzzese. Jack Irons was also replaced by Matt Cameron, who remained the drummer of the band until art jamming.

Pearl Jam’s second album titled Vs was released in 1993 and reached an estimated sale of more than 950,000 copies in its first week on the market. Vs classified no. 1 on the Billboard for 5 years, until 1998. A year later, his third album called Vitalogy came out and, like Vs, became one of Pearl Jam’s best-selling albums with the recorded sale of 877,000 CDs in his first week of launching. It was also declared multi-platinum.

Spin the Black Circle, one of the songs included in Vitalogy won a Grammy Award in 1996 for best Hard Rock performance. Another song, Better Man also landed on no. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart and I was there for 8 weeks.

Despite all the initial achievements, Pearl Jam remained balanced. They refused to sell their concert tickets at a higher price. The group expressed disagreement with Ticketmaster’s commercial policies that resulted in a judicial battle.

The band portrayed the impression that their performances are more to express and enjoy their art and make their fans happy. The desire for profit was not as much as his desire to act and enjoy.

After Vitalogy, several more albums came out. All subsequent albums were enthusiastically received by fans, such as Pearl Jam and Backspacer. The album came out no. 1 on the billboard. The single released from the band titled World Wide Suicide topped the Billboard in Modern Rock.
In 2005, the USA Today Readers poll voted Pearl Jam as the best American band of all time. They were also named as the Pop and Rock & Roll Band of the 90s.
