Insel Air was the largest Caribbean-based airlines and has grown to be one of the best airlines in providing international flexible connectivity since 2006, to North and South America as well as the Caribbean region.
The airline flew to: Havana, Manaus, Georgetown, Santiago de Cuba, Barquisimeto, Paramaribo, Caracas, Las Piedras, Maracaibo, Valencia, Barranquilla, St. Maarten, Medellin, Quito destinations in the Caribbean include Aruba, Port-of-Spain, Bonaire, Curaçao, Holguin, Santa Clara, Camaguey, San Juan, Santo Domingo, Port-au-Prince, Kingston and Miami in the USA.
Insel Air’s home-base is located in Curaçao and its hub is in Aruba, therefore providing frequent flights between the two locations with a short fight time. The airline also provided great connectivity to for all their passengers across and within the Pan-American region.
In February 2019, the airline was forced to suspend operations due to ‘operational issues’. Later in the month, it was revealed that the airline was suffering from financial issues when the airline filed for bankruptcy and ceased all operations with immediate effect.
 
Baggage
Insel Air Reservation passengers were allowed one free checked and carry-on baggage, with the option to opt for Comfort Class, allowing access to business lounges, pre-boarding, extra legroom, extra luggage allowance.
 
 
Fleet
Insel Air Reservation offered three types of aircraft to meet its chartering needs: McDonnell Douglas, Fokker 70, Fokker 50 and Embraer Bandeirante.Curacao International Airport, where the airline was based, offers a broad range of superior services of shopping and restaurant establishments. Curacao International Airport is located between the North and South America and borders on the Venezuelan coast.
A twenty-minute ride will take you to the downtown historic Punda – a UNESCO World Heritage site characterized by fun entertainment, restaurants and great shopping. Curaçao has daily non-stop air services from Miami, Amsterdam and Bogota, complemented by convenient services to Aruba, Bonaire, St. Maarten, Santo Domingo, Port of Spain, Caracas and Paramaribo among othersairline
