Beauty is a vague concept and it can vary from person to person. For some, beauty lies in simplicity and for some, it is being stylish. For some people, it is reflected by healthy hair and radiant skin while some consider inner beauty, which includes a warm personality and an innocent heart as the real one. But in the real-world a healthy body and mind team up to make someone look attractive.
Ayurveda goes with the thought that ‘beauty comes from within’. This 4000-year-old science is known for the concept of harmony between the mind, body, and soul that balances the whole self. It supports overall health, optimizes energy, and treats each individual differently.
There are some very crucial beauty secrets in the kitty of Ayurveda that helps in giving you a healthy and glowing skin.

Veggies rich in water can be easily digested. Try to make a combination of at least three vegetables in the form of salad or in any other way you like.

Do not mix food that is not compatible: Food can turn out to be very dangerous if taken in wrong combinations.
- Milk and fruit: Milk and fruit make a bad combination so try avoiding yogurt mixed with fruits. Milk takes time to digest while fruits get digested easily. Thus it curdles the milk and forms acid in the body causing acidity.
- Milk with meat: Avoid using milk and any milk product with meat or fish. It makes a deadly combination as meat heats up the body and milk cools it down. Hus this contrasting combination makes it worse for the body.
- Ghee and honey: Ghee tends to cool your body and honey heats it up and causes an imbalance in the body that is not good for you.
- Cold drinks after the meal: Try not to take cold drinks after having a meal. This plays with the digestive juices and causes stomach issues. Try avoiding ice cream and yogurt as well before and after the meal.
Do breathing exercise: Breathing exercise is great for your skin. As we all know that more than physical stress, mental stress takes a toll on the health of your skin. A good round of breathing exercises is great to keep away stress and make your mind calm and quiet. You just need to fill your belly with air. Let it rise and exhale slowly for at least 20 minutes before going to bed.
Moisturize your skin: Massage your skin with oil or moisturize it with herbal oil relaxes your muscles and tissues and also boosts blood flow. It is one of the important parts of the skincare routine. If you try this out just before hitting the bed then nothing can be greater than this as it rejuvenates your skin from within. Olive oil also works as a natural cleanser for oily skin as well.
Eat nuts and seeds: Seeds and nuts are the best sources to keep your skin healthy. We should add them to our regular diet as they contain healthy fats that are good for your skin and cardiovascular system. Sunflower seeds, almonds, pistachios, and flax seeds are rich in Omega 3 regularly for glowing skin.
Cut down the intake of sugar and salt: If you do not want to trigger cardiovascular diseases then cut down the intake of salt and sugar from your food as it affects the blood pressure. These two compounds keep your skin elastic, toned, and wrinkle-free but its excess amount in your body can damage the collagen and elastin in your skin as well.
Add some natural ingredients in your skincare routine rather than slathering your skin with chemicals.
Orange improves your complexion: If you have oily skin the peel of an orange is the best for you. It contains vitamin C and antioxidants that have the property to keep your skin bright and clear. You will soon notice acne-free skin as well with the usage of it. Dry it under the sun, grind it in a mixer and apply the powder by adding yogurt to it.
Sandalwood and turmeric: These two are infused with antibacterial properties and should be included in your skincare routine to free your skin from acne. Apart from freeing your skin from acne, it clears the skin, tightens the pores and prevents inflammation. Just add 2-3 tablespoon of honey in 1 tablespoon of sandalwood and ½ tablespoon turmeric.
Raw Potato for removing pigmentation: Potato is the best to keep away from pigmentation, scars and dark spots as it contains starch and natural bleaching properties. It also prevents premature aging. You just need to grate the potato and extract the juice and dip the cotton ball in the potato juice to apply it to the affected area. Leave it overnight to get the best results.
Banana: There are many ways to make natural face masks at home but bananas are the hassle-free ones. Just peel a raw banana and mash it, apply it on your face and neck and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Wash it with cold water to get the best results. You can also add 1/4 cup plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey to a medium-sized banana and apply the mask on face and wash it after sometimes with cold water.
