LNCT (Lakshmi Narain College of Technology)

  • Academics:

The faculty is mediocre although friendly, and if you put in a little extra effort beyond what you’d be taught in class, you might just ace your tests. You will learn enough throughout your course to land a job if you paid attention. The curriculum is refreshed every year and is up-to-date.

  • Placements:

The college has good exposure and is affiliated with companies such as Wipro and Cognizant. The largest placement stands at 24L. The average stands at 4 lakhs.

  • Infrastructure:

This university has distinct labs for all the branches and a decent library all connected via Wi-Fi. The food in the canteens is a bit less than average and fairly hygienic.

 

People’s University

  • Academics

The faculty is supportive, high quality and always open for help. You’ll find yourself going to them for help with internships and hackathons. There are regular lectures from “Subject Matter Experts”. The course curriculum is updated regularly.

  • Placements

The placements are decent but not very high. But they are still affiliated with big companies such as Infosys, TCS, etc. The largest placement offer stands at 12 lakhs. The average ranges somewhere between 2-4 lakhs.

  • Infrastructure

People’s University is one of the top colleges in bhopal The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There are two departments – one of which provides regular courses and the other provides a degree associated with IBM (IBM-ICE). The canteens are decent. The hostels are affordable and provide good value for money. The labs are well furnished and up to date with the corresponding technologies. It also provides a library that contains necessary books for your academics.

VITS (Vaishnavi Group of Institutions)

  • Academics

Most of the faculty are experienced Ph.D. holders and know the curriculum pretty well. There is one problem though, that is, the faculty undergoes frequent changes. The classrooms are equipped with CALTECH (Collaborative Active Learning and Teaching) which attempts to make academics more interactive.

  • Placements

The placement rate is high, and the university is tied up with many popular MNCs such as Amazon, Tata Motors, etc. The average placement stands at 7 lacs with the highest being 40 lacs.

 

  • Infrastructure

The campus is quite large, standing at 150 acres. There are separate Wi-Fi connections for hostels and academic blocks. The canteens are fairly good, and hostels are state of the art. One drawback would be the university’s expenses.

UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies)

Although most teachers are well qualified, students find the way of teaching a bit unsatisfactory. The course curriculum is updated regularly, so you’d be partially on your own.

The location is pretty beautiful and scenic. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. Although the hostels are not as big, the canteen offers decent food.

OIST (Oriental Institute of Science and Technology)

The faculty is average, but friendly and always open if you need assistance. It is a mix of well qualified and excellent teachers and inexperienced freshers so whether or not the faculty is good depends on who is assigned to you as a teacher. The course curriculum is up to date.

  • Infrastructure

The college is fully covered with Wi-Fi. The central library offers a good package of study material mixed with an ambiance best suited for studying. Also, the campus on a whole is pretty. The auditorium is one of the best things about its infrastructure. On the contrary, the hostels are not that well-maintained and the canteen provides less than average food.

  • Placements

The placements are not that good, but the company is affiliated with companies such as IBM and TCS.
