While we generally do not associate winter in Dubai with the bright, cold, and snowy landscape, our car still does not escape the approaching winter problems. Temperatures may not drop to a single unit, but changes in the weather still report a problem with your vehicle. As with all things related to car service in Dubai, it is best to stay on top of your car problems to solve problems quickly, easily, and efficiently. With frequent floods and declining temperatures, we think it is appropriate to make a guide that will help you with the most common car problems this winter.

Often, cold winter weather causes a lot of traffic problems. However, the situation is a bit different for car service in Dubai. While temperatures do not reach high temperatures, constant cool temperatures during the winter months can have serious effects on your car.

1. The battery will not start

Cool temperatures, in general, tend to have negative effects on your car’s battery. Your battery is likely to deplete during the winter, with frequent cold days. Cool weather affects chemical processes inside the battery. That is why there is an increase in reports of vehicles not starting early in the winter.

Solution: Since face such problems that are more likely to occur in older batteries which are not properly maintained, it is important that your battery be tested as winter approaches. Depending on the findings, getting your battery repaired or replaced will keep you on foot for the winter.

2. Older tyres could pose a hazard

Winter in Dubai explains the problem of your tyres because they bring rain with them. With regular use throughout the year, your tyres are usually worn out until winter. If you get into a situation where you must deal with wet roads, it becomes dangerous for you.

Solution: To stay safe during the winter, get a thorough inspection conducted during the first rainy season during the winter. Having a tyre specialist do one or more things in your car can boost confidence in your car and keep you safe during the winter.

3. A cracked and faulty alternator belt

We were all in a situation where our car would not start the next morning in the winter. Often, it points to a battery error, but there have been cases where the alternator belt has been the culprit. At cooler temperatures, the belt tends to harden and break slightly, resulting in reduced performance adding to another problem for car service in Dubai.

Solution: Get your alternator belt checked regularly. It is a good practice to follow not only in winter, but throughout the year when you take your car to do the service.

4. Faulty wiper blades

This is due to two aspects of winter car service in Dubai. One, an unusual car, washes during the winter, and two, with an increase in winter rain. Since we avoid washing our car too much in the winter, the combination of dust and moisture can create problems when using wiper blades.

Solution: While it may not be helpful to advise you to wash your car often in the winter, you can still give your wiper blades dusty regularly. By reducing the amount of dust, dirt, and debris on your wiper blades, you can use it without risk of damaging your blades or windshield.

5. Reduced fluid movements

Cool temperatures cause your engine oil and other liquids, such as lubricants, to harden during the winter. It can be dangerous in some cases as it leads to reduced performance in your car. This can also lead to other important parts of the machine being damaged.

Solution: Needless to say, it is important to stay above your fluid levels during the winter. Prepare your car for the winter by having the service done ahead of time.
