Can a patient travel on the day of the surgery or not?
With the advancement of technology now people can get rid of hair loss problem. There are procedures like FUT and FUE which does not need much time to recover. So there is no need for the patient to stay in the hospital after the surgery. Some patients come from different states just to get the permanent solution of their hair loss problem. So patient can travel on the day of the surgery.
Will I be able to drive after the surgery?
After 30 minutes of the surgery, the patient is allowed to go home. But usually, surgeons advise people not to drive for 24 hours post-surgery. You must be thinking why right. The surgery is done by giving local anaesthesia to the patient. So there are chances you will feel dizziness. Some patients take sedative at the beginning of the surgery. Normally, the patient will be tired of post-surgery. So driving will be a little dangerous. So that’s why we recommend our patient not to drive after undergoing the surgery. You should take a taxi or call your loved ones to help you reach home safely.
Will I be able to fly?
Although there is no risk in flying after undergoing the hair restoration treatment. But we advise you not to take any type of risk post-surgery. There are chances you might fly and it makes your body swell. There are chances you might hit your head somewhere while taking luggage from compartments. You should also not drink alcohol after the surgery as it will thin the blood and lead to bleeding. There are chances you might experience from DVT i.e. deep vein thrombosis. DVT is a situation in which blood clots will form which will put a bad impact on your health.
