Description

The IRS20955 is a MOSFET driver for Class D audio amplifier applications that operates at a high voltage and fast speed and with a floating PWM input.

No external shunt resistors are needed because bi-directional current sensing detects over-current conditions during positive and negative load currents. A security control block, equipped with a programmable reset timer, helps prevent overcurrent problems, ensuring a safe, secure operation.

The internal deadtime generating block improves audio performance by providing more accurate gate switching and a better deadtime setting.

With self-reset, programmable bidirectional over-current protection for transient over-current events

The absolute maximum ratings mean that the gadget may suffer harm if the maximum values are exceeded. All voltage parameters are referenced to COM (the common point), and all currents are defined as positive currents entering any terminal. The thermal resistance and power dissipation are tested with the board installed and in calm air.
