FITPASS - One Membership | Workout anywhere, anytime

It has almost been half a year since gyms closed and we started working out at home or left it altogether. But the good news is that gyms are slowly opening and we can get back to the real workouts soon. Still, gyms are one of those places where diseases can spread easily, mostly because everyone is breathing heavily. Plus, there’s a high chance of germs on the equipment such as treadmills, bikes, weights, etc. The coronavirus can survive on metal surfaces for up to 72 hours. However, it can be managed by disinfecting the surfaces. If you still feel a little wary about visiting gyms, workout at home with the help of dynamic workout routines by FITCOACH by FITPASS.

5 Gym Essentials

Water Bottlef

You do not want to be touching the plastic cups and the water dispenser being used by so many people at the gym. In all likeliness, gym owners might not be offering disposable cups. It is best to carry a leak-proof water bottle, preferably with a cap over the mouthpiece. You may carry an extra bottle in case you need more water and you do not want to take it from the public dispenser.

Sports Mask

Wearing a mask is the most important way to protect yourself against the spread of coronavirus. It is not something you would want to experiment with. However, a lot is still unknown and in an ideal world, we will all be able to workout without wearing face masks soon. You may want to invest in a high-quality breathable sports mask that makes it easy for you to breathe while performing the difficult exercises. You might want to keep an extra one just in case.

Hand Sanitizer

This one is kind of indispensable because you are going to be touching surfaces and equipment previously touched by others. Let us hope they are not infected and you still need to take precautions. Stick to your set of dumbbells before you leave them around. It would be ideal to clean your hands after touching each surface but that might be a bit excessive. So, make sure you clean your hands after a few minutes and wash them thoroughly before wiping the sweat off of your face.

Resistance Bands, Skipping Rope, Etc.

You may want to carry as much personal stuff as you possibly can to avoid contact as much as you can. Small equipment like resistance bands, light dumbbells, skipping rope, etc. can be carried in the gym bag. While sharing is a good thing, you might want to avoid that while we (as a community) find a way to overcome this pandemic. Make sure to use them and put them back in your bag straight away; do not leave them lying around for anyone to use.

Gloves

Having a pair of good gym gloves can minimize the damage caused for repetitive sanitizing and washing hands have to grow through. But you must also remember to not bring your hands anywhere near the face while working out at the gym. In fact, if everyone wears gloves, the spread can be minimized.
