Attention all spice lovers of Pakistan, and especially females, are you ready to try our favorite spicy and tangy Gol Gappay recipe. Known also as Phuchkas, Pani patasha and/or Pani puri in other parts of the world. An extremely popular street snack from the South Asian countries of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, which has been gaining popularity world over.

There are several methods of making gol gappay, but the most essential component is the crispy hollow puri, which is made of flour. Phuchkas are generally larger and much darker in color. The cavity in the puri is then filled with a ‘stuffing’ made of potatoes, onions, grams, and chili.

In order to make pani puri, once filled with the stuffing the puri is then dipped in water mixed with tamarind or green mint chutney. Gol gappas are also sometimes topped with hot sauce or tomato ketchup, like in Islamabad. Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup Semolina
  2. 1/2 cup Cake Flour
  3. 1 cup Flour
  4. Salt (As Needed)
  5. 100 gm Tamarind
  6. Water as needed
  7. Lukewarm water (As Needed)
  8. 10 gm Green Coriander
  9. 4 Green Chili
  10. 10 g Ginger
  11. 2 cup Cooking Oil
  12. 1 TSP Baking Soda
  13. 1 TBSP Sugar
  14. 1 TBSP Chaat Masala
  15. 1 TBSP Black Salt
  16. 1 TBSP Lemon Juice
  17. 1 TBSP Roasted Cumin
  18. 10 gm Mint
  19. 1 cup Yogurt
  20. 1 TSP Carom Seeds
  21. 2 Large potatoes (Boiled)
  22. Boiled Chickpeas (As Needed)

Cooking Method:

  1. Add the semolina, cake flour, flour, salt, baking soda, lukewarm water in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Cover for 30 minutes.
  3. Now, make Small Chapatis and fry them. Papri is now Ready.
  4. Grind up tamarind water, mint, green coriander, green chili, ginger, salt, water, chaat masala, carom seeds, roasted cumin, black salt. The green sauce is ready.
  5. Mix together yogurt, salt, roasted cumin, Green Coriander in a bowl. The yogurt sauce is ready.
  6. In a separate bowl, add tamarind, water, and soak for an hour. Once that is done, take them out of the water, dry them with paper towels and then grind to a powder.
  7. Add tmarind paste, water, and sugar in a pan, and cook it for 2 minutes . The sauce is ready.
  8. Now fill the Gol GappayPapri with boiled Potatoes, onion, tamarind sauce, yogurt sauce, green sauce, boiled chickpeas.

Gol Gappy Water:

  1. In a bowl, add tamarind water, black salt, mint, lemon juice, chaat masala, and mix it well.
  2. Your tasty Gol Gappay is ready to serve

Shahi Tukray recipe:

Shahi tukray are a bread pudding dessert made with fried bread slices soaked in hot milk and spices such as, cardamom, sugar, and saffron. It is a famous delicacy from Hyderabadi cuisine and eaten all over the Indian subcontinent. Popularly severed on special occasions such as Eid ul Fitr, weddings, Ramadan and other special gatherings. It is also called double meetha in India. This delicious and creamy dessert is prepared for many festive occasions and eaten with great delight. Normally garnished with khoya, nuts and dried fruits, etc.

Ingredients

  1. 1 liter Milk
  2. 1/2 cup Sugar
  3. 10 gm Almond
  4. 10 gm Cashew
  5. 10 gm Pistachio
  6. 5 gm Green Cardamom
  7. 1/4 tsp Yellow Food Coloring
  8. 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  9. 1 cup Hot Water
  10. 3 tbsp Corn Flour
  11. Cooking Oil as needed
  12. 8 Bread Slices

Directions

  1. To a cooking pot, add milk, cardamoms, sugar, yellow food color, almond, pistachio, cashew, vanilla essence, hot water and cook for 15-20 minutes on low flame.
  2. Afterwards, add corn flour mixed in water. The mixture is ready now.
  3. To a cooking pan, add cooking oil, bread slices, and fry it until light brown.
  4. Cut slices in the middle of the bread.
  5. Present these slices into the mixture.
  6. Your tasty Shahi Tukrayare ready to serve.
