The Burning Foundation by Jim Rohn talks about the ten Commandments of the Godfather. Among them is the commandment to “Repent, for the Future”. But what about those who have failed to heed it? What would be the consequences for them? And just what can we learn from the story of the burning of the calf?

First of all, I want to congratulate you on the title of this book. It is a real thrill to read and to get my thoughts flowing with this book. It is not only for the Christian but also for anyone who is willing to take a stand for what is right and to stand for what is true. I believe that one of the reasons that we are Christians is because of the Atonement. So, thank you for taking the time to read this book.

Children's Burning Foundation

As you read the book, there are many lessons that are learned. Some of these lessons are about the nature of relationships, both with others and with ourselves. Many of us have been in relationships that are less than stellar and the burning of the calf serves as a reminder as to why we need to draw the line on who we associate with. We are all attracted to those who are positive and who love one another. If we associate with someone who is negative and judgmental, we will only attract the same kind of person into our lives.

What about the love of Jesus? In fact, Jesus said that if you love him, you will also love your neighbor. He said that love for one is a good commandment. Do you realize that this is just one of the over forty verses in the Bible that mentions the love of God? And that is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to God’s love for you and for those who are in your life.

Do you want to be the kind of person that Jesus was talking about? Do you want to have a more spiritual relationship with your fellow man? Do you want to walk in the footsteps of our Savior? If so, you are going to need to put some effort into getting in touch with your personal spirituality. You can’t just read the Bible or turn on the television and expect to have the answers to your questions about God and spirituality.

The Bible can provide you with information and comfort, but it will never be enough to set you on the right path of relationship. It may comfort you to know that your troubles are just temporary and that eventually you’ll overcome them, but that isn’t the point. The point is that you’ll learn to look at your situation objectively instead of reacting from a sense of fear and anxiety. The children burning question that you’ll be asking: Am I on the right path towards wholeness?

Having a personal relationship with God is going to be the most effective way for you to learn how to walk with God. This personal relationship will give you the perspective of knowing that he is watching over and guiding your steps, even when it appears that he may not be. In time, you’ll become more like him and you’ll see that the answers that he gave you earlier were for real. He may not be able to send you immediately, but he’ll send you the answer through the Holy Spirit.

If you want to know how to develop a relationship with God and a burning desire to walk in the direction of the Lord, then you need to find an opportunity where you can walk in the footsteps of our Savior. When you develop this relationship, you’ll learn how to move forward with God. You’ll learn how to move in faith and grow in love. You’ll learn to see the good in every situation, and this will allow you to walk with God instead of worrying about what has been said or who has said it.
