The Case Destruction Workflow provides users the ability to set up case destruction formulas to determine the proper date when cases become eligible for destruction. When the case is closed, the workflow runs and generates.

The calculated destruction date which is stored on the File Location tab of the case. Different formulas may be set up based on case type.

Users may also decide if they want the system to automatically destroy the files or allow for manual destruction.  For the manual process, a search and select grid is available for users to search for eligible files across a date range and select individually or in bulk for these cases to be deleted.

A record is maintained in a special grid of any destroyed files, whether they were automatically or manually destroyed.  The grid provides an audit trail and allows for reporting across date ranges.
