ADVOCO

Advoco manages the assets of giants like Starbucks and PepsiCo. When applying for a job, each new employee signs a document in which he promises to be brave, motivated, progressive, confident, honest, and competent. “If we do not require our employees to maintain these values, we will become another run-of-the-mill consulting company,” said Marty Osborne, head of Advoco. The company also hosts sports competitions, the proceeds of which go to charity. Employees travel to Sonoma Valley every year, where they spend several days doing winemaking. Also, Advoco management pays for joint vacation trips for all staff.

VIVIDLOGIC INC

VividLogic Inc. is a self-boot-strapped Silicon Valley company that was founded in 1999 by Shiva Patibanda, who is also the CEO of the company. In Feb 2010, SeaChange Inc. acquired VividLogic for approximately $30M.  The founder of the company, Shiva Patibanda, is among the forerunners of software technology for electronic consumer devices, including IEEE-1394 Serial Bus, HDTV, DVHS and Digital Cable STB. He has also served Ericsson Media TV Platform Business and SeaChange International as the CTO, Shiva deployed the company’s software in more than 60 million devices in Europe, North America, and Asia.  VividLogic’s STB middleware was licensed by Comcast for their premium Xfinity X1 STB back in 2011. The program was used in more than 40 million devices. Shiva is kkown as the Godfather of the Reference Design Kit (RDK) software. Shiva is a prominent investor in Locomizer, Smiota, and, PeopleShores. Recently, Shiva has been working as the advisor of MediaKind Inc and Evergent’s CEO.

BILLIONAIRES ROW GLOBAL

Billionaires Row Global specializes in luxury brand marketing and emerges as the fastest growing companies in the United States. Patrick Ductant founded this Miami-based company and currently serves as the president. Patrick is also the CEO of a successful investment marketing and real-estate marketing company named Venturion Marketing Group, and utilizes his experience from the real-estate marketing sector. He has a background in investment, finance, and real-estate that he puts to use at BRG. Back in April 2018, he was named the president for Champagne Billionaires Row’s Brandy division, and the company has been growing ever since. Today, Billionaires Row Global is an international brand and a renowned label in many countries around the world.

CHIEF OUTSIDERS

Chief Outsiders is located in Houston, TX, and it was founded by Art Saxby (CEO). Last year, the company recorded total revenue of $13M. Chief Outsiders recruits marketing directors. The company database now has 65 specialists who can take any orders and receive 80% of the funds paid by the client. With Chief Outsiders, professionals can work flexibly and control their workflow. The company also has a long-term scheme for employees, through which they can later receive a small stake in Chief Outsiders. The company would have expanded further if it created a database of CFOs, CIOs, and CTOs. However, their CEO ditched the idea: “We decided to continue to focus on things we do best and what we think is most useful.”

REVOLUTIONARY CONCEPTS

Revolutionary Concepts was founded by Richard Marshall Carter, also known as Solomon Ali. With an annual turnover of $30 million, the company is today among the fastest-growing organizations in the United States. Solomon Ali is the director who acquired Licensee Eyetalk 365 LLC, a patented security alarm and remote video communication technology. Nicole Singletary now directs Eyetalk 365. Eyetalk 365 has been licensed and used by various high-profile organizations, including Amazon’s RING, CPI, Axis, and Sky Bell. Its motion sensors devices have an available patent for the users to have two-way audio/video communication. These motion sensors can be directly connected to smart devices, such as iPad, laptops and smartphones. Tony Schroeder founded this company in Sydney, Ohio. All Choice One Engineering employees, even those who work there part-time, own shares in the company. “If we go back in time when the company was valued at $5 million, the company would still be a success if the staff adhered to the goals, objectives and vision of Choice One Engineering,” said Matt Hoing.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

This Pflugerville, Texas-based company was founded by John (CEO) and Jennifer Garrett. The founders began publishing a newspaper at their house. Today, they cover over thirty titles in fifty cities. The newspapers cover purely “hyperlocal” events, that is, events that concern only the cities in which they are directly published. Advertisers feel that these newspapers are better at reaching potential customers compared to online advertising. Community Impact has already made significant progress. Therefore, the Garrett family even opened their printing house, which prints not only news but also other materials on the orders of customers.

 

EVERGREEN

When the development company Evergreen starts funding a project, each employee has an option to become an investor. Thanks to this policy of Evergreen, some employees of the company can become millionaires. FBS DATA SYSTEMS

Founded by Paul Wurzer in 1978, this company is based in Fargo, North Dakota. His company helps conduct real estate deals. When FBS Data Systems launched an online transaction platform, Paul Wurzer instructed his son to lead the launch. Michael Wurzer decided that FBS Data Systems needed to create the same partnership model as the law agency he previously worked for. He launched a company stock reward program for employees. “If we didn’t involve our employees, our company would not have been able to show such rapid economic growth,” said Michael Wurzer.

FILTRINE MANUFACTURING

Based in New Hampshire, the company was founded by George Kneuper. The family of the head of the company, Peter Hansel, has been running it since 1918. Filtrine Manufacturing manufactures custom-made water systems like Boeing launcher cooler and Varian Medical Systems radiotherapy devices for cancer treatment. Filtrine Manufacturing Leadership does not allow mass production of its developments, while the production itself is concentrated only in the United States. Because of these beliefs, the prices of the company’s products rose, and large customers, including General Electric and Coca Cola, turned their backs on Filtrine. “Maybe this is a stupid policy, but my family never wanted to sacrifice product quality to expand the business.”

GREAT LAKES BREWING

Dan Conway and Pat founded this company in Cleveland, Ohio. At last year’s employee conference hosted by the Great Lakes Brewing Company, the founders said, “You are each a winner. Take the line to collect your prize!” This prize was a new program for rewarding employees with company shares. “It was an incredible moment! Everyone gave each other a high five, hugged each other and cried with happiness,” said Bill Boer, then CEO of the company. Great Lakes became the first brewery in Ohio. The company is also popular for being environmentally conscious. For example, Great Lakes recycle 70% of production waste.
