The Skill Mission Society by AISECT was established in 1985 under the leadership of Mr Santosh Chaubey, who is not only the founder of the society but also the chairman. The mission is one of India’s largest skill development, e-governance and service networks. It aims to bring about a change in the often untapped potential that can be found in the rural and suburban areas of the country.

AISECT is constantly working on skill development in India and on making higher education available to all those who wish to pursue it. The Skill Mission Society falls under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The people who are opting for skill training courses under this scheme are not charged any amount to be able to do the courses. The courses are open to Indian citizens between the ages of 14-35.
