The udyam registration portal provides one to access multiple services provided by various agencies through one single window for entrepreneurs like accessing schemes/programs, policy & guidelines of the Government (Central & State), registering online or offline for schemes as well as registering your firm/business/company, etc., filing returns, applying for payments, etc., tracking the application status and ATO (Aaykar Sampark) compliance.

  1. udyam has a facility to collect feedback/ complaints about the services provided by government departments and the Business Facilitators appointed by them directly online through this portal.

 

  1. udyam will develop a mobile application (Android & iOS) for entrepreneurs for registering themselves as an enterprise or self-employed person and applying online for various schemes/programs offered on the udyam portal, collecting data from enterprises at periodic intervals using the geotagging feature, sampling methodologies, etc. and reporting status of your application among other facilities.

How to use the udyam portal?

Now click on ‘ New Applicants ‘ and fill this form, pay fees online with a debit/credit card and start using the facility.  You will be asked about the details of your enterprise like name, address, telephone number, email id, etc., Source of funds required (Firm capitalization or loan from the bank), sector type, etc., Objectives & area of operation as well as financial information in detail such as what amount of funds are required to start the enterprise, how much amount is required for purchasing equipment/machinery and working capital.  You will also be asked about whether you have applied/ availed any financial assistance from government departments or public sector institutions in the last five years, name and details of such enterprises including recognition by state governments, achievements made, etc., This information will be available in detail online through your mobile phone on the udyam portal. 

After this process is completed, a unique Enterprise Identification Number(EIN) will be generated for the enterprise linked with an individual account no., issued against it.

Under Udyam, if any enterprise has applied and received the grant or loan for a particular purpose but it is later found that the funds are being used for some other activity without proper approval, then it will be considered as a violation of norms which may lead to cancellation of registration issued under udyam. From now on till December 2018, 8 lakh entrepreneurs across India have registered themselves with udyam and taken benefit under different schemes available in the udyam portal.
