It is owned by Shaikh Mansour, the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, the minister of presidential affairs and a member of the royal family of Abu Dhabi. Stretching at 482 ft, with a beam length of 70.5 ft and a gross tonnage of 11,589, it comes with a power-packed twin Pielstick diesel engineering wonder 7990 HP engine to pull at a service speed of 22.9 knots, accelerating to a maximum speed is over 25.5 knots. Tim Heywood did the exteriors of the yacht, while the interiors were done by Terrance Disdale Design.

Topaz also has an emergency backup diesel generator for redundancy. The yacht also features a steel displacement hull and an aluminium megastructure with eight meticulously designed decks for various experiences of viewing exotic sights. There is a large jacuzzi on the deck providing extreme pampering and a swimming deck displaying a built-in swimming pool for overindulgence. Fully air-conditioned offering excellent temperature control, the Topaz also showcases fancy underwater lights, an immaculately designed ultra-modern gym, sophisticatedly built movie hall, luxurious conference room and double helicopter landing pads.
