This attack caused 2,400 death of American Citizens, including civilians, while a thousand was greatly wounded. The day after, their current President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared war on Japan, prompting the entrance of the United States into World War II. 

The war also caused Martial law in Hawaii, food shortages, and cultural transformation of crop plantations to serve as training grounds for the Navy and Marines, which caused ruin to the beautiful Island.
