Fans do not change enough and have accused the series of stagnating, releasing several sequential entries which don’t feel different. The COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of this photo shoot which could have supplied Madden NFL 23 with all the images used for its own box art. In the absence of an official shoot, designers were forced to rely on images of the participant courtesy of the Baltimore Ravens’ photography team. This offers some explanation for the design work on the cover of Madden NFL 23, which was probably done on a time budget.
It can’t be easy to handle a game series and it has to be particularly hard in a year similar to this one. With the football season possibly facing cancellation thanks lovers are more nervous than ever to go through the sport they love through the Madden series. Many of those stumbling blocks that the developers have faced in creating Madden NFL 23 are clear in their own right, however it doesn’t change the fact that Madden fans are being disappointed. Regardless of everything, Madden NFL 23 is set to release on August 25th.
