NBA 2K23 is almost here, and you may want to know who put on the cover in this year’s sports game. Here’s everything we know so far about the NBA 2K23 Cover Athletes.

NBA 2K23 Standard Edition Cover Athlete

Booker

The NBA 2K23 standard edition cover athlete is reportedly named Devin Booker. An NBA insider at The Athletic report suggested that the Phoneix Suns’ star will be on the game’s cover.

The Suns’ guard is one of the most dynamic players in the NBA today and has played a substantial role in the franchise’s resurgence, going to the NBA Finals in 2021 and the top-seeded team in the NBA Western Conference in 2022.

Booker has remained at a 91 overall since the end of the 2021-22 NBA season. The 25-year-old captured his first All-NBA season this past season, making the First Team and finishing fourth in the MVP race.

Booker is a two-time All-Star who averaged 25.6 points per game or more in his last four seasons, a career-high 26.8 per contest in 2021-22.

NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition Cover Athlete

Michael Jordan

Unsurprisingly, the NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition cover features Michael Jordan himself. This edition is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

The game makers stated that this would be a way of celebrating Jordan, his six NBA titles, his five MVPs, and his 14 All-Star appearances. Arguably one of the greatest players ever, Jordan is attributed with making basketball a global sport, reshaping the sneaker scene into what it is today, and inspiring a generation of athletes in different sports worldwide. Jordan was featured on the cover of NBA 2K11, NBA 2K12, and the NBA 2K16 Special Edition. NBA 2K23 marks the athlete’s return.

NBA 2K23 Championship Edition Cover Athlete

Championship Edition

Michael Jordan, or rather his Jersey, takes a position on the Championship Edition of NBA 2K23, the most expensive version of the game. It will only be available to pre-order digitally or in limited numbers at stores for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

The number 23 has become synonymous with Michael Jordan, who is now known as a brand icon, the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, and co-owner of NASCAR team 23XI Racing which runs the 23 and 45 cars, numbers that Jordan has used over the years.
