About the Examination

The Staff Selection Commission holds the Combined Graduate Level Examination on yearly basis for filling up of various ‘Group B’ and ‘Group C’ posts in different Ministries/Departments/Organizations of Central Government.

SSC CGL Exam is conducted every year. The calendar for the exam is released on the official website of SSC.

Eligibility Criteria for the Examination SSC CGL 2021/22

Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Requirement of Age for Various Posts:

4 For the posts for which age limit is up to 30 years Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1990 and not later than 01-01-2002.
5 For the post for which age limit is up to 32 years Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1988 and not later than 01-01-2002.

Essential Education Qualification for SSC CGL 2021

The educational qualifications required for different posts under CGL exam 2021 are given as below:

with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as
compulsory or Elective Subject
4. All Other Posts Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent

Application Fee

  • Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
  • Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
