Ye, the stage name of Kanye West, has worked with Balenciaga, Gap, and Adidas in the fashion industry. His streetwear sweatshirts sold for USD 80 at retail in these collaborations. His YEEZY Gap partnership resulted in two of the most successful sales days in Gap’s history, with the Perfect Black Hoodie sales topping USD 14 million. It was an astonishing generation of hype for an American apparel brand that had not expanded since its heyday in the 1990s and the early 2000s.

However, several clothing companies have severed their relations with YEEZY following Ye’s contentious remarks regarding Kim Kardashian’s anti-Semitic rants and donning “kanye hoodie” T-shirts. Adidas was the final to sever connections with Ye and stated that his “recent words and actions have been abhorrent, hateful, and dangerous. They contradict the company’s principles of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect, and justice.

Ye’s Fashion Career Is Seemingly On The Brink

Ye’s fashion career appears to be in danger. Nonetheless, social media is buzzing about the reduced hoodies, and there is excellent conjecture about when the “sample sale” will happen. Ye will undoubtedly provide an update, especially given his recent return to Twitter following Elon Musk’s acquisition.

Ye, however, is unyielding. In a video released by X17 Online on Instagram, Ye said he’d offer archival hoodies for USD 20 – a fraction of their regular price.

You were shown in the film touring a prospective sample sale and declaring, “Beings with engineering capabilities, we are. The past is being left behind. Our attention is on the future “.

Kanye West Faces Backlash For Wearing Shirt With “White Lives Matter”

Kanye “Ye” West donned a shirt with the message “Kanye West Hoodie” on the back at his Paris fashion presentation on Monday. He was accompanied by conservative commentator Candace Owens, who also wore a white shirt.

The rapper, whose name was earlier this year changed to Ye, donned the shirt at a fashion event for his YEEZY line. According to Complex, the “White Lives Matter” shirts were also worn by models during the event.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, “White Lives Matter” was coined in 2015 as “a racist response to the Black Lives Matter movement,” White supremacist organizations and individuals have since adopted and pushed the term.

West And Owens Not Only Showed Support

In addition to expressing support for the White Lives Matter campaign, West and Owens criticized the Black Lives Matter movement. On Monday, Owens shared pictures of her attire from the fashion show on her Instagram account. Everybody understands that Black Lives Matter was a fraud now that it’s gone, you’re welcome, according to one post that looked to be a snapshot of a piece from West’s account. West’s report no longer contains the story.

With the 2014 death of Michael Brown, a Black teenager killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, the movement known as “Black Lives Matter” received widespread attention. The 2020 murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin expanded worldwide and attracted considerable attention.

According to Alicia Garza, one of its founders, the Black Lives Matter organization aims to “dismantle a system created to criminalize Black people, designed to criminalize poor people, people of color, and other oppressed people,” CBS News said in 2020.

Several campaigners denounced West’s outfit and words. In a tweet, activist, novelist, and professor Marc Lamont Hill criticized Kanye West for his “disgusting, dangerous, and reckless decision to wear a ‘White Lives Matter shirt.
