Nexon Engine and Transmission

The Tata Nexon provides two engine choices to match different driving preferences. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine offers a 5-speed manual in the base variant and a 6-speed manual in higher variants, with the option of a 6-speed AMT or a 7-speed DCT (the latter available only in the top variant). This engine delivers 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel engine, known for its strong performance and fuel efficiency on highways, produces 115 PS and 260 Nm of torque. It comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.

Tata Nexon Features

The Tata Nexon offers a variety of features depending on the variant. Key highlights include LED headlamps with daylight running lamps, connected LED taillamps with welcome and goodbye animations, and dual 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. It also features connected car technology, auto AC with rear vents, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay starting from the Creative+ variant. Other notable features are wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera available from the Creative+ variant onwards. Additionally, the voice-activated sunroof is a premium feature available even in the lower-spec Smart+ S variant.

Tata Nexon Safety Features

The Tata Nexon boasts impressive safety features across all its variants. Every model comes equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, rear parking sensors, and hill hold control. Higher trims enhance safety further with additional features such as a 360-degree camera with a blind view monitor, front parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. This facelifted version continues to uphold the Nexon’s strong safety reputation, having achieved a 5-star rating in Global NCAP’s crash tests.
