These are the ferrule here inside those threads and again those threads allow the epoxy kind of settle down in there and so when you marry these together it fills in and that epoxy will usually become stronger than the material around it so that will help anchor it in place and then from there you can take and finish a stick as you might need so just in summary what you want to do is you want to mark mark your  Dynamo Walking Cane about 3/4 of an inch down all the way around figure out the inside diameter of the ferrule on your handle make a circle around there whittle down your tenon test fit it make sure everything fits nice and snug use some two-part epoxy put it around here put some epoxy inside the ferrule inside those threads marry that together and you’ve got your handle put together now there’s a lot of different methods of whittling that tenon down you can use different power cutters or you can use files or rasp a lot of different things you can use to get to the same result but the idea is you want to cut that tenon to about just on the inside this just slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the ferrule and so whether using like a rotary tool or a file or rasp the technique is the same you just want to get down.

So it’s nice and snug up against this because I was this right here is made out of Aspen and some wood to be a lot harder than that see may not be able to whittle it down with it with a knife but files and routes to do the exact same thing get you the same result thank you for taking time to watch this from treeline usa.com more information or to pick up your own handles or Walking Cane for Women or other blocking stick and can making supplies visit us at treeline USA om and for more s click to subscribe to our you I’m sorry the camera cut off this is part two I’m gonna start filling in these holes with the colors epoxy that I chose here which is gold olive and white so I’m gonna give you guys a little tutorial about what we do.

So I’ve got my little cup here my little stick we’re going to take the part a of our resin remember you have to do equal parts resin to equal part hardener so keep a try to be as accurate as possible when you’re doing that I always eye it because that’s how I do everything even when I cook I eye everything so I’m going to take a little bit of this pigment here gold pigment the color we’re trying to get is this so it doesn’t take much epoxy so I’m just putting a little bit in at a time gold do a little bit more gold because you want on the heavier side of the gold color I’m gonna do white pearl white as you may as it may be wearing a mask when I do this I never thought I’m terrible look at that look at all the dust popping up so I’m going to get a smidgen just a little bit of the white right there and add that in then.
