While Congress has yet to approve plans for a stimulus check in 2022, some states are implementing their own programs. For example, some states have created their own tax relief programs. Income requirements for first, second, and third stimulus checks

Cost of COVID relief package

In addition to continued COVID relief, Congress has also approved a third round of stimulus checks. Chance of a fourth stimulus check in 2022

The possibility of a fourth stimulus check in 2022 is low. While there is still bipartisan support for an expanded Child Tax Credit, the current climate and makeup of Congress are not conducive to a fourth stimulus check. The possibility of another stimulus check is still there, but experts say it’s unlikely in the foreseeable future.

The fourth stimulus check has stalled in Congress because of disagreement between the Democrats and Republicans. As a result, a bill to offer tax rebates to residents is on hold. Meanwhile, rising gas prices have made it difficult for lawmakers to agree on a gas tax holiday. Nonetheless, Congress is still working on a bill to create a gas relief stimulus check that will pay families up to $400 per month until 2022.
