The first thing to do if you have a Roku box is to connect your television to the internet. Go to your Roku’s website, and then click on your account on the home page. If you are not signed up yet, you will see a box labeled Roku.
Now we need to figure out which Roku box is sending the commands to your television. To do this, go to your Roku’s settings menu and then scroll down to the button labeled “Device Control”. It should be on the left hand side of the screen. Then click on it. It will give you some kind of code which looks like this: {rip flip flop}
Your Roku will ask you to enter the code you found in step three. You will also need to click on the box in the upper right hand corner. If you get a message saying that the Roku service has ended, you will need to reboot your Roku box.
Once you are back up and running, you will need to start using the Roku channel, and search for “Link Code”. You will see a new item in the menu, this will give you a code, which can be used in any application. Once you find your Roku activation code, you can login to your Roku account and use it in any application, be it movies, TV shows, games, or live sports.
So I mentioned that once you have your Roku code, you will need to login to your Roku account. In order to do this, you will need to click on your account icon in the lower left hand corner of your Roku home screen. Next, you will need to click on the button called “You are signed in” and a menu will appear.
You will see an icon called “Link Code” and will need to enter the code. It is always easier to use the back button, because you can usually find the code by typing in the search bar. You can also type the code in the box that appears next to the icon for the code.
