We believe that every woman is unique. Our number 1 goal is to bring out every womans natural beauty and make sure she feels and looks like herself.
To make sure that you recieve the full value of your trial we recommend that you follow the tips below.
And remember the hair and makeup artist has never met you before. They meet you with no makeup on, and don’t know how your loved ones are use to seeing you. Even showing photos of a night out, can be a little deceiving due to the lighting and the camera. The ONLY way they know if you are happy with the look, is if you tell them. The HD Makeover team never get offended by anyones opinion. We are only happy if you are happy.
1. Always research some ideas, even if you are not completely sure of what you want. If it gets too confusing then bring pictures of what you don’t like- By showing the artist what you don’t like, it is help narrow down the options.
2. Bring as many swatches/examples of dresses, flowers, ect, as you can to the trial- Our team have experience with weddings and bridal magazine shoots, we are able to provide you with expert advice.
3.Try 2 different looks for you hair and makeup- We want you to have options.
4. Take photos of each look, this way you can go away and think about what you really want- You never have to decide until the morning of your special day, we will be able to achieve any look you want.
5. BE TOTALLY HONEST with the hair and makeup artist!!!! This is the most important one. Our team work with top fashion models, on TV and Film BUT it is totally different as the models/actors don’t have a choice. If you feel there is too much liner, the only way the makeup artist can know that, is if you tell them. It is not rude to speak up. If you are finding it hard to explain just show a photo of something you do like.
6. Only bring a friend/loved one if you really value their opinion- Sometimes it is better to come alone and take photos home to ask for extra advice. (We have seen some not so nice “friends”)
7. Remember that every persons eyes, lips, face, hair is different- It’s great to use images of other people as a guide, but be realist about what you will achieve.
8. Get airbrush foundation. It lasts amazingly, it looks flawless and natural- Try it at the trial at no extra cost
9. Don’t think the trial means your look is set in stone. The trial is only to get an idea of what you want- As long as you leave happy with the quality and style on the trial day you can rest assured that you will be happy on your special day.
There are 3 things that can happen after the trial:
a) You arrange another trial as you would like to try a different look. We understand that sometimes ideas change.
b) On the special day you will be reconsulted and asked if you still want the same style you recieved at the trial. You may decide to change the look. This is not a problem for us as we are able to achieve anything you want, just be sure that you are 100% certain about the last minute change.
c) You decide to stick to the same look as the trial (maybe with a little more eyeliner or something)
10. If it is your wedding day. Remember your fiancée loves you for you… He proposed to YOU! Look glamorous but make sure you look like yourself when you walk down the isle.
