Primavera P6 Expert is more suitable than Microsoft Project for top-down scheduling. It means that the end item or deliverable that is the entire purpose of the project is considered first in Primavera P6.

Primavera P6 Expert has a multiple path concept that begins with the longest path, then measures floating paths, i.e. order of significance, in descending order of length. Paths are thus listed in order from the longest to the smallest, or from the most important to the most.
