Some of the best action games are available to play for free on Android. The best part about this genre is that there isn’t much you need to do in order for your character to progress through levels and/or worlds, so taking long breaks between life’s daily tasks won’t have an effect on the game. Also because they generally don’t have many stories or excess dialogue, it can also be a great way to pass time when traveling by car, bus, train, etc.

I’m not usually into playing games on my smartphone but I’ve recently found myself being addicted to many different kinds of addictive games that are now available for mobile devices. So if you’re looking for something new or just want some advice on how certain games work then hopefully you’ll find this article useful.

I’ve tried to pick out games that are relatively old or not as well known in order for you guys to experience some less popular game genres on your Android device.

GTA Vice City

I was never really into any GTA game until I played Vice City on my PC, so it’s definitely worth checking out. A great classic game that has recently received some criticism for its re-mastered version running poorly on the newer devices.

If you want to play this game on your smartphone, then download the GTA Vice City APK. But be aware that some gamers have reported some bugs and glitches that occur. It may work perfectly fine but some users are reporting freezing problems, lags and even certain missions don’t seem to work properly so there is still room for improvements.

Another thing is that some players think they didn’t get what they paid for, meaning the game isn’t complete (no multiplayer). So if you’re not bothered about playing online or have already played GTA on another platform then you should definitely give this game a try.

The game is pretty much identical to the PC/console versions so it shouldn’t be too hard for you to adjust. The missions are exactly the same which means that if you get stuck at any point then there are plenty of guides on how to complete particular missions available on YouTube.

Also, Download it from below link:

Anomaly Warzone Earth

A really innovative tower defense-style game where you control your units by tapping and swiping on your phone/tablet screen in order for them to follow certain paths, avoid enemy fire, etc. You won’t find yourself being as immersed as playing a console version but Anomaly offers an interesting concept with some great graphics and has received some positive feedback from gamers.

The original version of this game isn’t available to play on Android devices, however, there is an HD version with enhanced graphics available to download here. Also, it’s worth mentioning that the soundtrack was composed by two famous trance artists which further enhances the gaming experience. Vehicles, as well as towers, can be upgraded as you progress through levels, and additional features such as bombs, etc. will keep you entertained for hours. If you’re still not sure then watch a gameplay video or two before downloading Anomaly Warzone Earth (HD).

Jetpack Joyride

Even though Jetpack Joyride isn’t what I consider to be a ‘true’ action game there are plenty of moments where you need to evade traps and obstacles to survive. You play as Barry Steakfries whose mission is to run through crazy experiments without getting killed in the process.

You’ll be provided with an endless supply of weapons and gadgets that will help you dodge bullets, lasers, etc. while traveling through time (yes I know it sounds like a cliché but it works). The game has over 500 million downloads which alone should be enough for you to check it out. Jetpack Joyride (HD) also consists of in-app purchases however they are completely optional and don’t provide any kind of advantage when completing levels or missions.

All in all Jetpack Joyride is a very addictive casual game so give it a try and see if you can gather up the courage to collect all of the coins. I’ve been told there’s a secret coin but so far nobody has been able to find it, hopefully, one day we’ll solve this mystery.

Inotia 4: Assassin of Berkel

This is by far one of my favorite action games on Android. You play as Karn who becomes an assassin after his village was attacked by some rebel bandits. Your aim is to defeat these rebels while improving your strength, defense, and skills (which require food in order to level up).

The game includes tons of quests, items, weapons, etc that will keep you occupied for hours. Every now and then there are updates that fix bugs, etc however the latest versions still require some polishing to make it work perfectly on Android devices.

However, I think this is one of the best-looking games available to play on Android since all of the maps are hand-drawn which makes it look like a PC or console game. Graphics aren’t everything but if you’re not picky about your games then give Inotia 4: Assassin of Berkel a try – you won’t be disappointed!

This game has been around for several years now so you’ve probably already played GTA Vice City on another platform previously, yet the majority of gamers believe that mobile platforms offer much better controls than what you can expect from a console or PC.

You also have the ability to shoot with better accuracy as you hold your device with both hands, and the graphics are much better compared to previous versions of this game. In GTA Vice City you’ll find yourself taking part in several missions including gunfights which will keep you entertained for hours on end!

Summary

Summary This isn’t an extensive list of action games available to play on Android devices since there are plenty more great titles that many people would recommend. However, if you’re new to mobile gaming then I think these five games should provide enough entertainment until you decide it’s time for something else.
