Know about Different Stages of Remaps

Stage 2: This remap builds on stage 1, which yields further enhancement in power and performance. It includes turbos, a bigger intercooler, a better exhaust system, and induction kits. This will raise the power and is still safe to be used.

Stage 3: This is the end goal and much more than just a file. It gives the best performance and most power to the car. This is for track cars as these modifications are not suitable for road use.

Can you go for stage 2 remap from the standard?

It depends on what you are trying to do. If you just want to build your car and want no limits n power, then you can go straight from standard to stage 2 remap. Manual car owners also do stage 2 remap directly. However, stage 1 gives out enough power and better performance to the car. And most people don’t want to go any higher. Stage 1 and stage 2 have minimal differences in terms of power, so many people go straight to stage 2.

  • In this stage, a series of modifications are fitted on the standard car. This includes remaps that don’t require any additional hardware and exhaust upgrades. These modifications will give good power, and you will see the remap software giving more benefits.
  • This stage can be different between cars and what their weak spots are. This will provide an increase in power than the stage 1 remaps, and the efficiency of the car will still improve but not as dramatically as in stage 1. It also requires upgraded hardware and gives a more responsive drive without compromising reliability.
