The Indian Government purchases CCTV for surveillance and security purposes. Sometimes they rent CCTV for surveillance purposes in Government events, Exhibition and Government related Gatherings. The Indian Government has allocated a significant amount of money to purchase CCTV such as IP Based CCTV and CCTV Peripherals. These products are purchased and rented through a tendering process. Among the various sectors in India, Police and Defense ranks at the top in purchasing CCTV, amounting to 25.15% of all the tenders. Police and Defense is followed by Rural Development (14.79%) and Industry (10.36%). This analysis was done based on live tenders published as on October 11, 2021.
