The water flow meter is designed to measure liquid flow in pipelines of various diameters. Ease of use and quality construction make this device undoubtedly the best solution for commercial, industrial and domestic use. This article will learn more about the flow meter to help you understand some of the essential parts. Read on for more information on the digital water flow meter

1) Calibration verification date/batch for this lot of 200 meters was October 3, 2005. This means that PSL Inc. calibrated them within one month of being manufactured.

2) Calibration verification run number for this lot of 200 meters was 101. This means that they were the first batch in a series of calibrations performed by PSL Inc. in October 2005. It used to work perfectly for the

3) This equipment is calibrated against the primary standard from NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). The primary standard that is used to calibrate this equipment is a Type T thermometer. The calibration of the thermometer was established and verified in September 2005. The NIST primary standard has traceability to SI by the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada through the “official” K25 Calibration Standard and directly to SI through its correlation with other official standards.

4) For this lot of 200 meters, PSL Inc. performed four verification runs. The equipment was verified to the following limits.

A) Relative Accuracy (RA): plus or minus 0.05%. This means that for every 100 gallons measured by the electromagnetic flowmeter device, it can be of a maximum of 5 gallons. This represents that the meter could be off a maximum of 5 gallons for every 10,000 gallons measured. You will have to confirm how the digital water flow meter is used.

B) Flow Factor (FF): FF is defined as the ratio of test flow rate to nominally rated accuracy. In other words, if this device were calibrated and run at 1,000 GPM, which it was designed to measure at 0.5% accuracy, it could be off a maximum of 0.02 GPM (1,000 x 0.005 = 50 GPM). If this device were to measure at 800 GPM, then the FF would be 1.25 instead of 1 because the meter measured 25% less than it should have been based on its design. The FF could be a maximum of 1.25 for this device because it is run 100% at 0.5% accuracy.

C) Flow rate linearity: This test verifies the linearity of flow rates between 20 and 200 GPM. The rate of flow varies differently to help you gain more knowledge and realize how easy it works.

D) Unit conversion factor (UCF)

This test verifies that after calibration, when the flow rate is 1 GPM, it takes exactly 100 units of input energy to cause the meter to register 1 unit of output. If a value greater than 100 or less than 100 were measured, there would be something wrong with either the calibration or design.

E) Repeatability (REPR):

This test verifies that if the same test is run repeatedly, it will produce the same results. It does this by producing a standard deviation from 100% accuracy to measure this REPR. This means that any device measuring at less than 0.005% or greater than 0.006% (0.5%) has an error in its design or calibration. You will get to understand how the digital water flow meter is working today.

F) Suitability

This test verifies that this equipment can be used for the intended application without causing any harm or damage to the device. All electromagnetic flowmeters have a pulse frequency, and all high voltage devices have an electrical current pulse frequency limit. If these two values are near each other (or within 1-2 orders of magnitude), then the energy of flow may be absorbed by the meter, causing damage.

G) Tolerance (TERM)

This test verifies that after calibration, when the flow rate is 0 GPM, it takes exactly 0 units of input energy to cause the meter to register 0 units of output. If a value greater than 0 or less than 0 were measured, there would be something wrong with either the calibration or design.

For this lot of 200 meters, PSL Inc. also verified that the meter is safe to use in Class 2 hazardous environment by verifying that it meets the following standards:
