Press for five seconds
When resetting the Unified Computer Device Architecture (CUDA) button on an nVidia Quicksilver logic board, make sure the Apple computer is unplugged, then find the “reset PMU” button, short for power management reset drive, behind the battery. This button must be pressed once for five seconds.
Do not press more than once
Holding the CUDA button more than five seconds will not change the performance of the logic board. However, repeatedly pressing the button will continue to reset the card and may cause a malfunction.
Bottom line
Resetting the CUDA button on a Quicksilver logic board shouldn’t take more than five seconds. Plus it won’t hurt the card, but it won’t help, either.
