Booking.com is one of the leading online travel agencies with a mission to connect people and places worldwide through its platform. Whether you’re looking for an apartment in New York City or a room at a family-run bed and breakfast in London, Booking.com has thousands of options that suit every traveler’s needs – all with 24/7 customer support! Today we’ll show you how to easily connect your WordPress website to Booking.com using a new plugin: WP Booking System (WPS).

You can synchronize your Booking.com with calendars on third-party platforms to make it easier to keep track of all bookings received and to avoid overlaps with them. You must import reservations from other platforms and export your Booking.com reservations and closing dates to those platforms. We recommend doing both to avoid manually closing specific dates in all of your calendars. You can also add banner to your website using banner generator so everyone will know that you are working with Booking.com.

We recommend doing so before your property is open for booking on our platform if you are new to Booking.com. Please be aware that calendars do not sync in real-time, so individual bookings made on other platforms will not instantly sync with your Booking.com calendar and vice versa.

Synchronization Conditions

Calendar sync is not available for some types of accommodations. Your accommodations must have 20 room types or less and no more than one number unit per room type for you to import or export calendars. Your property should also not use XML connectivity tools such as property management systems or channel managers.

Go to the Extranet and click on “Rates and Numbers” to determine if the sync feature is available to you; if available for your property, you will see an option to Sync Calendars in the drop-down menu.

You are synchronizing your calendars across different sales channels.

Importing calendars from third-party platforms is helpful if you work with other online channels and want to import and sync another calendar with your Booking.com calendar. You also recommend that you export your Booking.com calendar to calendars on third-party platforms to ensure consistent availability across channels. During this procedure, you must have a calendar on a third-party platform open.

Synchronization of calendars across all sales channels is carried out as follows:

  • Log in to the Extranet and start the connection;
  • Depending on the type of your Extranet, open the “Rates and Numbers” tab and then “Calendar” or select “Calendar and Prices”;
  • Click Sync Calendars;
  • Click Connect Calendar, then add the link to the third-party calendar you want to import reservations. Give your calendar connection a name – if you’re connecting to Airbnb, you can name it “Airbnb” – and then click Next. You can also click Skip This Step if you want to go directly to export your calendar. You can go back and import the calendar on a third-party platform later by clicking Finish Installation on the Synchronize Calendars page;
  • To export your Booking.com calendar, copy the link to your Booking.com calendar by clicking Copy Link and paste it into the appropriate field in a calendar on a third-party platform, such as the Airbnb calendar sync page. Under Export Options, choose whether you export only booked dates or booked dates and blackout dates. Alternatively, you can select Skip Export – you can export your Booking.com calendar at any other time by clicking Finish Installation on the Sync Calendars page.

After that, you can return to the Extranet and click the “Finish” button.

You will see the status “Activation in progress” while setting up the connection. Once the calendars are synced, the status will change to “OK.” You can view your calendar connections by returning to the Synchronize Calendars page.

We will automatically import all connected calendars, but you can sync imported calendars manually by clicking the Import button. To delete the imported calendar and stop syncing, click Delete.

To Wrap It Up

Booking.com is the mainstream website for booking rooms, flights, and other travel-related items that can be found online or through their app on your phone! You’ll want to take advantage of what it has to offer by connecting with the Bookings plugin so you don’t miss out when new deals come up in town while traveling. You can use a plugin to connect with your website for Russian tutors. Like some people do without even knowing about them until the last minute, hotel prices go sky high because they were only available digitally before then.
