Beta (12 to 33 Hz): these are what your brain generates now that you are reading this article. They happen when neural activity is intense, and you are performing actions that require a certain degree of alertness to process the information you receive from the senses.

 Alpha (8 to 13 Hz): they happen if you close your eyes and focus on yourself. They are related to states of relaxation and are not typical of sleep.

 Zeta (3.5 to 7.5 Hz): they appear in the states of deep calm. We are half awake and half asleep. That is, we are conscious and the body half asleep. In this state, a hypnotherapist can access the subconscious, which is when we are most programmable.

 Delta (1 to 3 Hz): They have a shallow frequency. They are characteristics of deep sleep. In this state, the brain is not “off.” Although it is in a state of rest, it is still active and busy with processes that do not need consciousness.

Gamma (25 to 100 Hz): The waves with the highest amplitude. They appear when elevated mental states such as happiness, compassion, great attention. You can experience it when you have meaningful moments in your life.
