Chartered Accountant is a critical specialization-cum-certification course that qualifies you to work as a chartered accountant for any reputable company or audit firm. In India, the course is governed by the ICAI.

Candidates with a 10+2 diploma are eligible to enrol in the CA Foundation Course. To enrol in the CA programme, they must pass the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). After passing the CA Foundation course, you must enrol in the intermediate course, which must be completed before proceeding to the final course. Candidates who have finished their bachelor’s degree can proceed directly to the intermediate level.

The results of the Common Proficiency Test will determine your CA admission to further courses. Three levels make up the CA Course. The duration of the CA course is not set in stone. Candidates must complete the CA Course in a minimum of four years to be considered successful.
