  • Pour the hot boiling water on top of the umbrella in the upper compartment and wait until the water level reaches the brim.
  • Keep the led covered for 3-4 hours until the coffee is collected in the bottom.
  • Now to prepare the coffee we boil the milk and mix 3 tablespoons of coffee with ¾ cup milk. We mix the sugar according to the taste.
  • We use a steel tumbler to transfer the coffee between the two until the coffee becomes frothy.

To enhance the taste of the coffee we can add roasted chicory on the top. We can add 20 to 30% chicory to a coffee powder to enhance the taste. Adding a mix of 2 tablespoons of coffee powder and roasted chicory will make the final coffee stronger. One can also choose not to add milk to the filter coffee. In this case, it will be stronger than espresso.

This helps in making a strong brew that will serve 2-3 cups. The remaining brew can be used later and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. The traditional foam is made by passing the brew from one vessel to another to create enough bubbles.

Coffee contains a stimulant called caffeine. Consumption of filter coffee increases energy levels as the caffeine is absorbed in the bloodstream after its consumption. Coffee improves mental function as caffeine acts as a stimulant by blocking an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. This helps in boosting mood, energy, and numerous areas of cognitive function. Caffeine helps in activating the neurological system which helps in causing the fat cells to break down to the stored fat. However, this helps in raising the amount of epinephrine in your blood. Magnesium, potassium, manganese, pantothenic acid, riboflavin, and niacin are some of the few significant nutrients found in coffee. Coffee consumers had a decreased chance of Alzheimer’s disease, which is the most common cause of dementia in the world.
