Keep reading to find out all the details about this case that came to light.

Initial Findings

Noor Mukadam was the daughter of Shaukat Mukadam, who was the former Pakistani diplomat to South Korea and Kazakhstan.

The police informed that Noor was murdered on Tuesday, 20th July, in the federal capital of Pakistan. The incident took place inside of a house that was located in sector F-7/4, which was an upscale area in Islamabad. The house Noor’s body was found in belonged to Zahir Jaffer, the prime suspect in this case.

He is the son of a leading business tycoon in Pakistan and is rumored to have a long history of violence and drug abuse. Questions were surrounding those allegations, but SSP Ata ur Rehman informed that Zahir Jaffer was completely sober and in his senses when he was arrested as a prime suspect. Later they also discovered that he was of sound mind while he committed the murder as well.

During the investigation, the police had said that Noor was shot before she was ‘slaughtered,’ but recent findings suggested that she was instead struck on the head with a sharp object by Zahir, who later slit her throat. Rahman informed that the servants were present in the house during the murder and are a part of the investigation.

The incident was reported by local residents, after which the police raided Zahir’s house and found him with Noor’s body. His parent tried to justify his actions, saying that he was mentally unwell, but the statement was denied since Zahir was discovered to be of sound mind during the investigation.

Current Findings

The case of Noor Mukadam’s murder progressed as police discovered and revealed more findings as the days passed by.

Recently, CCTV footage from Zahir’s house revealed how Noor’s fought to stay alive till the very end. It showed her escaping from a balcony but was stopped by the security guard who closed the main gate, preventing Noor from leaving.

Forensic reports that were publicized further revealed that Noor Mukadam was raped before she was brutally murdered. This new information contributed to the evidence against Zahir, but it is yet to see how the case develops.

During the initial investigation, it was revealed that the parents of Zahir Jaffer had prompt information about the incident and tried their level best to wipe away all the evidence that may support that Zahir was involved in the murder. So when they applied for bail stating that they had nothing to do with the incident, it was rejected by the court based on earlier evidence.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed held a press conference on 10th August. He informed people that whoever is suspected to be involved in the murder of Noor Mukadam has been added to the ECL (Exit Control List) to prevent them from leaving the country.
