The test revolves around the ability of the students to articulate the matter in front of them in proper and proficient English.
  • The Speaking test is a one-on-one interview between the test takers and the examiner. All of the speaking tests are taped.
  • There are three sections in the General Training Reading test. Two or three short texts, or multiple shorter texts, may be included in Section 1. Two texts make up Section 2. There is one large text in Section 3.
  • There are three long texts in the Academic Reading Test, ranging from descriptive and factual to discursive and analytical. These quotations are from books, journals, periodicals, and newspapers.
