When the color ring is pulsating green, then that will mean you are receiving a call. What you simply need to do is to answer the call. Before you are going to set up the phone function for the Amazon Echo, you will be able to do this in the Alexa app. This is why you are required to tap on the phone function of the Alexa-powered device. This can be done through the Alexa app. There are three bars that are present on the top left corner.
From there you need to choose contacts and then open the settings option. This way you will be able to give Alexa permission to access your contacts. If you are making the call or are on a call, you are going to see that the Alexa light is going to glow green.
What you simply need to do is to command Alexa to call a number or name. In this case, the Alexa green light is not going to pulsate. There will be a green light ring that will be displayed and which will rotate counter clockwise.
When you call, the green light will turn off. It is also possible that you are in the active drop-in. The drop-in feature is going to allow you to give others permission to call via Alexa. If you see that the caller does not have an echo dot or Amazon Echo.
The Drop-in Feature:
In order to communicate not even with the own devices but also with the contacts. You need to add them to the list of Alexa.
In the bottom menu, you are required to select and then communicate. Then you need to choose the drop-in option and provide Alexa the permission that it needs.
There you will be seeing a green counter-clockwise rotating color ring which means that there is an active phone call. Then the same signal is going to be there when the Drop-In is in active mode. This is for example when you call your family to the dinner table via Alexa.
When you give your family and friends permission to drop In, they can easily reach you by call or by Text message. This can be each if you do not have the echo device, but they have to be connected to the Alexa app.
If you do not want to deactivate the Drop-In function, then you only need to deny the permission.
How to Turn off the Green light on Alexa:

The first thing that you can do is to tell Alexa to follow your command of Do not disturb.
What you can try is also to activate the do not disturb mode in the Alexa app.
In order to do so, you need to tap on the three bars on the top left corner and then choose Settings. From there choose the option of device settings for your Alexa-powered device.
After that, you need to scroll down till you reach the option of general. Here you will find do not disturb.
You can reject the phone call with a command such as Alexa, ignore.
