1. Berkshire Pub & Tapas Café

Despite being only six miles from Oxford, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, which is why the Berkshire Pub & Tapas Café continues to attract foodies from all over the world. The spirit of welcome is woven throughout the old timber-framed building, which has served as a gathering place for generations. Imagine yourself relaxing in club chairs by the inglenook, possibly with a pint of Hooky’s on the rocks in the distance.

On a bright and sunny summer day, the light-filled conservatory is a terrific place to unwind. The beautiful rusticity of the restaurant can be appreciated in a variety of ways throughout the three dining rooms, including enormous candles on light wood tables, massive terracotta flooring, and the light beaming through a magnificent dish of Fowey mussels accompanied by freshly baked bread.

The daily specialities are contemporary British in flavour, with a dash of Asian flavour and influence thrown in for good measure.

2. The Gardeners Arms

This amazing reimagining of one of the best pubs Oxfordshire, nestled in the heart of the beautiful countryside just a few miles west of Oxford, has a distinctly stylish take on all things vintage and is situated in the heart of the beautiful countryside. Vintage wallpapers, vivid colours, glass cases packed with curiosities, and a pink, up-cycled sofa at the cocktail bar are just a few of the design features.

The flagstone floor is covered with country rugs, and there is a fire burning on both sides of the bar, as well as an aged pine bench with stuffed cushions. There’s also a dash of neon to keep things interesting, along with some strange art. It’s impossible not to be creative and original.

3. The Seven Stars

The Seven Stars, located near Marsh Baldon, was originally built in the 15th century as a modest weaver’s house. It has been converted into a hotel. It now has a considerably more elegant and beautiful appearance. The courtyard garden is warm and comfortable in the winter, and bright and pleasant in the summer in the sunny, shaded courtyard garden.

After exploring the charming High Street, which features medieval, Tudor, and Georgian facades, you may unwind with an aperitif or a pint by the magnificent fireplace. You will be served high-quality, locally sourced food in a bright, stylish, and slightly quirky restaurant with a view of the garden, which will include, among other things, Bibury fish, Barnsley lamb, and Wye Valley asparagus.

The Windrush River Valley has some fantastic hiking opportunities, and we encourage you to bring your dog as well as your children, who will love the kid-friendly menus, which include their own Sunday barbecues. Tea in the afternoon is a special pleasure, whether it’s served next to a blazing fire in the winter or in the lovely, poppy-strewn garden in the summer.

4. The Old Bookbinders Ale House

A short walk from the city centre, Old Bookbinders is one of Oxford’s finest pubs – with a strong community feel and a quirky personality. It is located deep in the heart of Jericho and is a short walk from the city centre. ‘The Bookies,’ one of Jericho’s few remaining pubs, manages to retain the charm and weirdness of bygone eras while offering a contemporary twist.

Since re-opening its doors in 2011, the Crafty Belle family has managed to successfully combine the service of beautifully crafted, British real-ale with the preparation of high-quality, French Bistro-inspired meals. As a result, a space where anyone can come and feel comfortable has been created.

They want to provide a welcoming, easy-going atmosphere for the entire community to enjoy. Guests are welcome to bring their dogs, children, and students (as long as they are well behaved), so bring the whole family and say “hello!” to the great team and some of Jericho’s most beloved inhabitants.

5. The White House by Tap Social

Tap Social was born out of a love for fine beer and a commitment to social justice. In addition to being a craft brewery and hospitality social company, we also provide training and employment opportunities to ex-offenders while also creating inviting, inclusive venues for the entire community to gather.

Their new venture, The White House by Tap Social, is housed in a historic grade 2 listed public house on the Abingdon Rd, just a few minutes’ walk south of the Thames on the Abingdon Rd. The White House by Tap Social is a family friendly community cafe bar and kitchen serving delicious locally sourced seasonal dishes, locally roasted barista-made coffee, and of course, craft beer brewed right here in Oxford.

In addition to a generously sized garden and seating across two floors, the White House also features wood burning stoves, an eclectic mix of comfortable furniture, and artwork created by talented inmates. The White House is the ideal spot for a meal, a cup of coffee, or a drink with friends or family.

6. Gee’s Restaurant and Bar
