David Daxsen’s Ecuadorian company, Daxsen Music Group, has built close relationships with companies such as Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group.

He has been involved in this entertainment world since the age of 14. “I saw a source of business in something I was passionate about and with that I thought I had an economic need that I combined with a vision to achieve something.”

“I started at a time when people didn’t know much about digital platforms around the world. We started working really hard in Mexico, we were one of the first electronic music labels there. In fact, we were the first commercial electronic label in Ecuador and we were one of the first electronic music labels in Mexico, so much so that in Mexico they thought we were a Mexican label…”

In February 2010, Daxsen Music Group began its journey, shaking hands with David Daxsen, alone and with its own investment. At the time, as a music producer and DJ project, and to debut, he needed a record label, a record company he founded Daxsen Records, from which he He releases his own music as well as that of other colleagues and friends. .

“Gradually Daxsen Records started to have more labels, from there I bought labels from other countries, from Germany, from the United States, from Mexico, and this Daxsen Records label started to really become Daxsen Music Group. Today. we’re 47 record labels that we’ve bought some and founded others on over the past 11 years,” he explains.

“I also think it’s fundamental that I’ve spent a lot of time in the United States, in Miami and New York, which has helped me a lot to be able to interact with executives at this level. he added.

According to David Daxsen, the work between multinational companies and Daxsen Music Group is done by single people. “They’re asked for a license, a license to work with artists from these record labels, like in the case of Juanes, who released a song called One Earth on one of his record labels. In this case, Universal was required to obtain a license so that Juanes could co-publish an independent label,” said Sánchez, who is also commercial director of the Samborondón Chamber of Commerce and a member. of the main board of directors, explained.

Another way, the Ecuadorian explained, is through content distribution, which is the case with Sony. “In other words, they are distribution platforms for reaching digital platforms that, among others, support social networks, Spotify playlists, and others,” he said.

In addition to Juanes, the recording group has released releases with artists such as Flo Rida, Justin Quiles, and the album Legends with Steve Aoki, Afrojack Tiesto, Hardwell, among others, under the Daxsen label.
