And now that you know the product, let’s go to the tips and ideas that we know you enjoy.

How to use the Nuvo

We’ll need a little practise to make perfect enamel drops, but don’t let that scare you because it’s very simple. The trick is not to press the tip of the bottle against the surface of the paper because doing so will only spread the product without allowing it to shape. To get a perfect enamel drop, we’ll need to leave a space between the tip and the paper so the drop can fall and be shaped.

On what surface do you use the Nuvo Drops?

There are several options, and which one we choose can affect the outcome of our pearls or dots. You can use the Nuvo directly in your project, but we recommend doing so only after you’ve mastered it.

We can also make the enamel drops on other surfaces, letting them dry before removing them to use in our projects with a little glue. However, as previously stated, the outcome may vary depending on the surface.

The drops will be more curved and less rounded on vegetable paper, and more irregular and not completely flat on the back, though they are easy to remove from the vegetable paper once they’ve dried.

The drops are also easier to handle and extract on acetate paper or polypropylene plastic, and they are flatter, more enamel dot-like, and not as curved as on vegetable paper.

It’s also very simple to apply to the back of 3D adhesive paper. As a result, flat enamel dots with more volume than acetate or polypropylene are produced. They’re also completely removable as long as the reverse side is glossy. If the surface is matte and porous, the drops will become stuck to it and will be nearly impossible to extract.
