After Shaina Hurley’s squinting during the recent Love Is Blind reunion sparked memes, the reality star took to Instagram to offer an explanation.

The reality star kept squinting throughout the March 4 episode, which sparked memes on social media, including one shared by the show’s official accounts. Shaina also posted a few on her Instagram Story and also took the opportunity to clear things up.

“I wear contacts, OK?” she said. “I’ve been squinting ever since I can remember. I’m always getting yelled at, like, ‘Stop squinting! You’re going to get wrinkles.’ That’s why I probably have wrinkles.”

She continued, “Every time I go to the eye doctor, they tell me that I don’t have an astigmatism. And I’m like, ‘I think I have an astigmatism, or my eyes are getting worse.’ And my contacts have been the same.”

Shaina said her eye prescription is “like -5.25.”

“I am blind, basically,” she added, before smiling and saying, “Love is blind.”

Shaina recently opened up to E! News about the feedback she’s received from viewers in response to her on-screen conduct this season. She said that in addition to receiving “a lot of great support and love,” she has also been the target of hateful comments.

“I was very shocked on how people are so quick to judge and give their opinion,” Shaina said. “I understand that you become invested in something, but they have to understand that they’re not seeing the full picture. So I was kind of shocked with how hateful some of the comments could be.”

This season saw Shaina and Kyle Abrams date on and off before breaking up due to religious differences. She also had feelings for Shayne Jensen, although he only had eyes for now-ex-fiancée Natalie Lee.

Shaina has since moved on, recently telling The Bachelor alum Nick Viall on his Viall Files podcast that she is currently in a “pretty serious” relationship with a new boyfriend.

Paris and Kailand also hung out with Vivienne herself at the show, which featured runway appearances from sisters Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid.

Paris had also showcased a chic look at Westwood’s Womenswear spring/summer 2022 show during Paris Fashion Week last October.

“I have had the same style since high school: a combination of Sixties, Seventies and Nineties,” she said. “I love a good bellbottom, Earth tones, Doc Martens, ripped leggings, and band T-shirts for day-to-day. It’s boho grunge.”

Stanford University is addressing allegations that late soccer star Katie Meyer was facing potential disciplinary action shortly before her death.

In an interview with Today on March 4, the parents of the 22-year-old student athlete, Steve and Gina Meyer, confirmed that their daughter “died by suicide,” saying they believe Katie was “triggered” by a recent email she had received about facing punishment from the school. According to Steve, Kate was “defending a teammate on campus over an incident” prior to her passing.

Though the Meyers said they have not seen the email yet, Gina said that Katie had been receiving letters about the potential disciplinary action for the past few months and suspected the latest note “was kind of the final letter that there was going to be a ‘trial’ or some kind of something.”

In response, Dee Mostofi, Assistant Vice President of External Communications at Stanford University, told E! News in a statement, “We are not able to share information about confidential student disciplinary matters.”

“Our entire community is devastated by Katie’s death, and we share our deepest condolences with Katie’s family and everyone who knew her at Stanford, across the country and around the world. Katie touched so many lives,” the statement also read. “We as a university community continue to grieve with Katie’s family and cherish our memories of her.”

Katie, a senior International Relations major and the captain of Stanford’s women’s soccer team, was found dead in her campus residence on March 1. She was the team’s goalkeeper when the school won the NCAA women’s soccer championship in 2019.

In a previous statement, Stanford said Katie was “extraordinarily committed to everything and everyone in her world,” adding that “friends describe her as a larger-than-life team player in all her pursuits.”

During her interview with Today, Katie’s mother Gina said the past few days have been “a parent’s worst nightmare,” adding that her daughter “had a lot on her plate” but was “in great spirits” when they last spoke.

“We are struggling to know what happened, and why it happened,” she shared. “We’re just heartbroken, so heartbroken.”

Things definitely didn’t work out between Deepti Vempati and fiancé Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee on Love Is Blind, but has she found love with another co-star?

Throughout season two of the Netflix reality show, viewers saw Shake confide in his friends and family that he didn’t find Deepti physically attractive, even comparing her to his aunt. In an empowering onscreen moment, Deepti “chose” herself and turned him down at the altar.

During the eye-opening reunion episode, released March 4, the cast revealed that Shake’s onscreen antics were actually a “watered down” version of what actually transpired. Dropping a bombshell, Kyle Abrams admitted that he wished he had proposed to Deepti instead of Shaina Hurley, who eventually broke things off with him.

“I should’ve asked Deepti to marry me,” Kyle shared. “That’s what I learned the most, I f–ked up.”

He told Deepti, “I should’ve tried hard for you,” adding, “I mean, I love her so much, she’s the best. I wish I saw what was right in front of me.”

That brings us to Kyle’s latest TikTok video, posted a day before the reunion aired. In the clip, he cryptically panned the camera over to give a glimpse of Deepti, revealing that they’ve been spending time together and fueling romance rumors.

It’s unclear when the video was taken, but it definitely caught fans’ attention, thanks to the dramatic music, set to “Edge” by REZZ.

“Lets gooooo so down for this,” influencer Remi Bader commented on the TikTok, a message that Kyle “liked.” He also liked a fan comment that read, “wow shake looks different here” and another reading, “HELL YEAH.”

Neither Deepti nor Kyle has officially confirmed they’re dating or whether there’s anything going on between them.

However, she spoke with Entertainment Tonight in February and said she was “kind of exploring” another relationship from her time in the pods. At the time, she described herself as “single” and “working on” herself.

Kyle told the outlet, “They don’t show it but there was a girl that we probably might be married. One day it’ll come out. I’ll make it a point to tell everybody, but not right now.” He teased, “You’ll see what happens to me in the future very soon.”

Internet sleuths also noticed that she and Kyle have been leaving flirty messages on each other’s Instagram accounts, using the hot face emoji.

Shake, meanwhile, seemingly got into a Instagram feud with Kyle a week ago, calling his co-star a “little bihh.” He also accused Kyle of being a “serial cheater.” (E! News previously reached out to Kyle for comment on the allegation and didn’t hear back.)

Shake then posted a video earlier this week to reflect on his relationship drama, saying he wants to “work on” some things. “The one thing I don’t feel inclined to do is pretend I’m sad or sorry about certain things, certain things that were out of my control,” the veterinarian said. “I’m not sorry. I think I handled the situation as best as anybody in my situation could… You don’t have to like me.”

During the reunion, he added that he’d be “happy to facilitate” a relationship between Kyle and Deepti. We’ll have to wait and see if he did, in fact, set them up.

As we know, Deepti and Shake’s time on the show did not end with a happily ever after.

While Deepti revealed to E! News that she is now single, her brother and Shake have been feuding on Instagram.

“‘Shake’, bruh, you’re a loser,” Deepti’s brother Sunny and his partner Hina Merchant Vempati wrote in a joint Instagram. “You minimized my sister’s life by making some awful and cringeworthy comments about her.”

They continued, urging Shake to “stay the f–k away” from their sister.

Looks like Shake will be heading to his Nobu reservation alone!
