Unlike the Duchess of Sussex, Queen Elizabeth does not favor wedges. However, this is not to say that Meghan Markle is not a fan of them. Kate Middleton visits Fitzwilliam Museum
Prince William and Kate Middleton recently visited Cambridge, Massachusetts, where they viewed the first official painted portrait of the royal couple. The couple has been married for 11 years and have been together for two decades, but this was the first official portrait of the pair that they’ve seen. The Fitzwilliam Museum’s David Coreth wanted to portray the royals as approachable and dignified while still maintaining their dignity. The portrait will be on display at the Fitzwilliam Museum for the next three years. After that, it will be at the National Portrait Gallery in London next year.
While in Cambridge, the royal couple toured the Fitzwilliam Museum. While she was there, she also viewed a portrait by Jamie Coreth, a British artist. The portrait depicts the couple as dignified, approachable and elegant. The portrait will be displayed in the museum throughout Cambridge, and will be loaned to the National Portrait Gallery when it reopens in 2023.
The duchess and duke also met children. William and Kate met William Carlson and his family, who live with complex medical conditions, including lissencephaly. William also spoke with a little boy named Willow Bamber, who has Leigh’s disease.
