- Don’t try to stay in your house during the show. There will be tears no matter what. If you’re feeling a little dirty, now is the perfect time for that trip in the heat.
- You have to prove what you think you are doing twice. Once the building is opened up, it looks like it was initially built by a bunch of drunken sailors. It often makes sense to remove more than initially planned.
- Clear all the walls and dig up all the bones. For major renovations, we recommend cutting the walls and studs. There still seems to be some fun hidden in the hole in the wall of the Warrior Weekend that was recreated ten years ago. An indicator is a time to catch a bad electrical connection and the lack of insulation on the wall.
- Listen to the guy on the site who says, “check these things…” He speaks from experience that he knows what he’s talking about.
