We appreciate it when people can show off their body piercings, but we also recognise that piercings aren’t always accepted or can’t be visible. Even if the individual loves them, they may be rejected at school, at their job, or in sports. If this is the situation, there are still lots of body piercing alternatives available to you!

Understanding body piercing

We hope to give everybody who wants a piercing an enthusiastic “Yes! Do it!” However, the truth is that there are a few things to consider before making a decision. Piercings are long-term commitments, so do some research and ask questions before getting one. Any one of our piercers will tell you that asking a question is a good thing, and we’re all delighted to answer them! There is no such issue as a foolish inquiry because we don’t expect somebody unfamiliar with body piercings to be an expert on them.

There are a few things to keep in mind; the first is that body piercings are wounds that require time to heal. Patience and consistent aftercare are essential during the healing process. Anybody’s body piercing could take anywhere from six months to a year or more to properly heal, and it will recover in a peak & valley pattern during that period. Your piercing may appear to be entirely healed before returning to becoming red, draining and sore. People bring in images of cured body piercings and expect their new piercings to look just like them right away, but the reality is that it takes a lot of delicate handling and treatment to get that result.

The importance of aftercare in the healing process cannot be overstated for body piercings. If you get a body piercing, you’ll be given sea salt, glycerin soap, and a specially made mouth rinse if you’re getting an oral piercing.

Is it permissible for you to have body piercings at work?

If the answer is yes, the possibilities are unlimited, and the jewellery you choose is entirely up to you. Some employers limit the number of piercings allowed and have special jewellery restrictions. A hoop, for example, may not be permitted in your nostril, but a tiny stud would be allowed. Although certain places don’t allow facial piercings, you can still bling out your ear. This is important to know if you’re thinking about getting a piercing. Somebody’s body piercings can eventually be replaced with clear, plastic’ retainers,’ but this isn’t something you’d want to do every day.

If you’re at a job that you intend to keep while we’re on the subject of jobs?

As much as we wish that piercings were welcomed everywhere and by everyone and that no one should be condemned based on them, that is not the case. As a result, we propose that you plan for the future. If you have a job that you enjoy and expect to keep, then choose any piercing from the list!

Are you involved in either sports or hobbies? Where piercings are prohibited?

There are some sports where body piercings are strictly prohibited. If this is the case, you may want to postpone your trip till the busiest time is over. After that, you could get your body pierced, let it heal, and then place a plastic retainer in when the season resumes. Because the retainer is tiny and made of transparent plastic, it is usually unnoticeable and comfortable to wear.

Do you like to swim in lakes or pools?

For a minimum of 6-8 weeks after getting a piercing, we don’t advise going in the pool, hot tub, or other chlorinated water. That’s why the optimal time to go and get a belly piercing is during the winter and early spring. It will be cured, ready to transform, and prepared to show off once summer arrives! If any situation arises and you need to use chlorine water on a fresh piercing, grab a cover-it kit. It comes with a water-resistant bandage and gauze that keeps your piercing dry.

We always seem to get thrilled to guide our customers from the decision-making stage all the way up to the end result, your beautiful new piercing, whether you know precisely which body piercing you want and are ready to make this a reality, or you’d want a piercer to help you decide.
