Far too many people are living lives that are not their own. Such people don’t have to be behind bars to be prisoners. They become prisoners of their own notions, decisions, and ideas by striving to meet the expectations of everyone but themselves.

These people spend their lives doing what others believe is best for them, including their parents, friends, adversaries, teachers, the government, and the media. They disregard their intuition and inner voice.

Such people are so concerned with pleasing everyone that they have forgotten what makes them happy, what they want, and what they require… They gradually forget about themselves.

You only have one life – this one right now – and you must live it, own it, and, most importantly, do not let other people’s ideas distract you from your truth.
