There could be 2 possibilities:

  1. Your Smart device is already add in Alexa app
  2. Your smart device is not added in Alexa app

 

Case 1- If your device is already added in Alexa app

  1. Click on your device name from the list of devices available.
  2. Further click on the “Update Wi-Fi” option.
  3. Select your wi-fi network name from the shown list.
  4. Next enter password of your wi-fi network to get access to the internet.

Case 2- If your device is not added in Alexa app

In this case, you need to add a new device to Alexa app- by clicking on “Add new device.”

  1. Press “Action” button on your Alexa Echo speakers for at least 6-7 seconds.
  2. The blue light will turn into stable orange light.
  3. Your device is now connected to the Alexa app.
  4. A list of available wi-fi networks will show up on the screen.
  5. Choose your Wi-Fi network by clicking on it.
  6. Enter the wi-fi password if required and get connected to the internet.

Once the connection is set up, a success message will be displayed on your screen saying something like ” Echo is now connected to Wi-Fi, and you can use Alexa.”
