EZ derm is a dermatology-specific Electronic Health Record (EHR) with a fully integrated practice management system. It’s a mobile, cloud-based system designed to run your practice efficiently.

Powered by 3D Anatomical Maps, our intuitive interface empowers doctors and their staff to visually document patient encounters in real-time.

3D Anatomical Maps

EZ DERM EMR comes equipped with a powerful 3D Body Map tool that empowers dermatologists and their staff to visually document patient visits in real-time. It also features a progress note tool, pharmacy geolocation and reminders.

Currently, there is no internationally agreed-on set of anatomical terms for dermatologists and other healthcare providers to record surface anatomy locations on the human body. This lack of uniformity has clinical and research implications for both patients and their caregivers.

A Delphi consensus was convened to create a novel surface anatomy terminology that is clinically relevant and concise. The new terms were hierarchically mapped to SNOMED terms and NYU Numbers and physically mapped to 2D anatomical diagrams for clarity and reproducibility.

These models can be used for surgical planning and pre-surgical training, to help surgeons visualize the complexity of their patients’ bodies. They can also be used in augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) environments to improve surgeons’ understanding of anatomy and surgical pathology.

Automated ICD-10 and CPT Code Suggestions

EZDERM EMR & Practice Management Software is an electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) solution designed specifically for dermatologists. The system provides complete patient record storage, scheduling, document management, and billing.

ICD-10 is a new alphanumeric code system that replaces ICD-9 for diagnosis and procedure codes. The transition to ICD-10 was required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in October 2015.

In order to minimize the burden on disease coders, automatic coding has been proposed to predict ICD-10 codes based on medical records. However, the task of automatically predicting ICD-10 codes is not easy due to the large amount of free-text data and its complex structure.

To address these challenges, we have developed a machine learning model for automated primary diagnosis ICD-10 coding. This model can not only increase coding quality but also enhance coding productivity. Moreover, it can reduce the workload of coders and improve their coding skills.

Billing Compliance

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems are a great way to manage patient records and interface with other medical professionals. They can also help you bill insurance companies for services.

However, if you’re using an EMR system that doesn’t offer billing compliance, it can lead to serious problems for your practice. These can include incorrect coding, over-billing, or even the risk of triggering an audit.

The proper coding and billing of dermatology services is crucial to the success of your practice. It’s a process that can be overwhelming at first but is ultimately a simple task once you know how to do it correctly.

Our dermatology EMR system helps you stay on top of billing compliance by automatically suggesting CPT, ICD-10 and modifier codes based on actual notes. This is a big help when it comes to reviewing your bills and getting them paid as quickly as possible.

If you’re participating in a clinical trial, it’s especially important to ensure that you’re doing it properly. If your clinical trials are not properly billed, you could face financial penalties or even trigger a False Claims Act.

Regardless of the size of your practice, you’ll likely be looking for a good EMR to keep track of your patient data. Luckily, there are plenty of options out there that can make the task of organizing your records easier than ever before.

A good EMR should be able to handle your medical information with ease while also letting you see what your office is up to in real time. That includes the ability to send alerts and reminders to your staff, ensuring they always have the latest patient health info at their fingertips.

In the world of dermatology, there are many systems on the market to choose from. Choosing the right one for your practice can be daunting, but it’s important to find a system that offers what you need and is easy to use. The best way to do this is to do some research and learn about what each of the systems has to offer before deciding which is the right fit for your practice.
