Farmers who make their own mulch
Each season a farmer cuts crops, picks fruit, chops trees, digs potatoes, and more. All the offcuts are swept together, forming mulch. A farmer will only need a mulch delivery if they have not made their own mulch or if they have not made enough of their own mulch. Mulch is sometimes sold from one farmer to another as mulch in itself is a business. Many farmers who farm forests for firewood make mulch out of the cuttings of the wood, the bark and the leftovers, and mix this with cut off shrubs, grass, plants, anything really from the garden, and mulch it all together. It does take time to make mulch, which is another reason farmers often get in a mulch delivery. Mulch needs to literally mulch itself to be good and so it has to stand for a while before it gets bagged and used, or before it just gets raked over the crops and used.
Gardeners use mulch
It is not just farmers who use mulch but also gardeners. A garden can really do with a good mulching before the dry or the wet season and a garden that mulches is a beautiful and productive garden. Everything grows better with mulch, the plants, the shrubs, the trees. If a person has a vegetable garden, big or small, they should definitely mulch. The mulch fills the soil with minerals and nutrients and in turn the veggies grow filled with minerals and nutrients. A gardener may just need a few bags of mulch at a time, whereas a farmer would need dozens. Either way, the mulch suppliers deliver the mulch and carry it to the farming, field or garden area where it is needed. Some even include the raking for you! That is a win win situation.
